1. Using the AIMCAD zip file, right-click and choose Properties (You can make a zip using any existing AIMCAD users C:\AIMCAD directory – this will have the most up-to-date files/settings)
2. Select the option to UNBLOCK the file (lower right corner of the properties window)
3. Extract the AIMCAD zip to C:\ (this will automatically create an AIMCAD folder
4. Open a drawing in AutoCAD
5. Go to AutoCAD Options
   1. Add entry “C:\AIMCAD” to both “Support File Search Path” and “Trusted Locations” areas
   2. Click Close
6. In the AutoCAD command bar, type: MENULOAD
   1. Click Browse and locate C:\AIMCAD\AIMCAD.cuix
   2. Click Load
   3. Click Close
7. Close and re-open a drawing in AutoCAD
8. Select the AIMCAD ribbon
9. Click the LOGIN icon
   1. Chose “AIM_STORRS-Prod” in the Configuration drop-down
   2. Source should populate automatically (if it doesn’t, then the configuration file we were supposed to unblock is fact blocked. You’ll need to repeat just steps 1-3 again)
   3. Click API Login button and enter your NetID and Password (You should see a message in the lower right corner of the box indicating success)

      

10. Click OK
11.  On the AIMCAD ribbon, click Refresh Cache
    1. Type: M (prompt will be in the AutoCAD command bar)
    2. Double-click Floor, then the REFRESH SELECTED

       

12. c. Click close
    11. Install and initial setup is now complete
