Managing a Maintenance Project in AIM

 Standard Operating Procedures

The instructions here are designed for individuals who are familiar with the AIM Environment and are comfortable navigating to a Project within AiM. This includes logging in to AIM, WorkDesk, icons, menus, search screens, working with data, and entry screens. If you are new to AiM  or do not know how to search for and find a project, please refer to the documentation explaining these foundational AiM concepts or go to your supervisor and request training. 

Managing a Maintenance Project in AIM

PURPOSE:

In order to accurately track and report on the Maintenance Project throughout their lifecycle and as an organization, all project data must be kept up to date.

BACKGROUND:

Description Screens
As a project moves through workflow the Project Manager must make sure the status on the project is accurate
As often as reasonably possible, Project Managers should update the values of UDF’s as they change
As often as reasonably possible, when details tracked using notes objects are created or change, Project Managers should update the notes
As a project moves through workflow the Project Manager must make sure all data related to the Project is in AiM, correct and Current.  To access and review any data, go to the ViewFinder Action on the corresponding work order
Clicking on the Individual Screen Links in the ViewFinder will take the Project Manager, the Business Office and the Operational support staff to any and all of the objects related to the project to meet the requirement for the Project data to be kept correct and current in AiM
